The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited @PillarsINC with Prime Minister @JacindaArdern to find out more about their work supporting young children who have been affected by having a parent in prison.
More than 23,000 children in New Zealand are affected by having a parent in prison and are 9 times more likely to end up in prison as adults.
@PillarsINC are working to break the cycle by fostering connections between children of prisoners and positive role models.

Meghan and Harry went on to visit Abel Tasman National Park. They visited Totaranui, a 1km-long golden sands beach in Abel Tasman National Park, which is managed by @docgovtnz, who work with community and school groups to educate them on conservation #RoyalVisitNZ. They also visited the spectacular Abel Tasman National Park, where they learned more about its local conservation programmes with @docgovtnz Ranger Andrew Lamason. #RoyalVisitNZ.
